How do I sign in? Is there a password?

There's no password to remember. On the sign-in page, enter the email address you bought your books with, and we'll email you a sign-in link. Open the link and you're in.

After you buy a digital edition at seawatchbooks.com, we also send you a welcome email with a link straight to your bookshelf.

My sign-in link says it has expired or was already used

For your security, each link works only once and only for a short time. Just go to the sign-in page and ask for a new one. Links requested from the sign-in page need to be opened in the same browser you asked from. If no email arrives within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder, and make sure you used the address you bought your books with.

Can I read on more than one device?

Yes, on up to three devices, such as a computer, a tablet and a phone. Each device counts once you sign in on it.

If you reach the limit (for example after replacing a phone), sign in on a device you still use, go to Your devices at the bottom of your bookshelf, and sign out the one you no longer use. That frees a place for the new one. If you no longer have any of your devices, write to us and we'll reset them for you.

Does it remember where I was?

Yes. Your place in each book, your highlights and your notes are saved to your account, so you can stop on your computer and carry on from the same page on your tablet.

Why can't I download or print the books?

Our books are the life's work of their authors, and many contain detailed plans and photographs. To protect that work, digital editions are read here in the SeaWatch Reader rather than downloaded as files. That's also why each page carries a faint mark with your email address.

We know modelers need plans at full scale on the workbench. Printing your own plan sheets is coming: you'll be able to make a limited number of personalised print files of the plans in the books you own. Until then, plans can be viewed and zoomed in the reader.

How do I zoom, see two pages, go full screen or jump to a chapter?

• Turn pages: the arrows at the side, your keyboard's ← and → keys, or swipe on a phone or tablet.
• Zoom: pinch, use the + and − buttons, scroll with the mouse wheel or trackpad, or double-tap. Pages stay sharp when you zoom right in on photos and plans. Drag to move around.
• Two-page spreads: on a wide screen the reader shows facing pages like the printed book. You can choose single pages or spreads in the reading settings (⚙).
• Full screen: the full-screen button, or press F (Esc to leave).
• Contents: the ☰ button opens the table of contents. You can also type a printed page number to jump straight there.
• Search: the magnifying-glass button in the toolbar, or press ⌘F / Ctrl+F. Type a word or phrase to find matching pages; click a result to jump there.

Can I highlight and take notes?

Yes. Choose the highlighter (🖍) and drag across words, or press and hold on a phone or tablet. Pick a colour if you like. To add a note, choose the note tool and tap where it belongs on the page.

Everything you've marked is listed under ☰, so you can jump back to it. You can export your notes there as a text or Markdown file to keep on your computer. Highlights stay inside the reader.

Where do I buy digital editions?

At our store, seawatchbooks.com. Look for the e-book edition of a title. Digital editions are sold separately from the printed books. Once your order is paid, the book appears on your bookshelf here, under the email address you used at checkout.

I bought SeaWatch e-books on Issuu. Where are they?

They're already here, so there's nothing to buy again. Sign in with the same email address you used for your Issuu purchase, and you'll find those titles on your bookshelf. If something is missing, or you used a different email back then, write to us and we'll sort it out.

What is your refund policy?

Digital editions are delivered the moment you buy them, so sales are final, with these exceptions:

• If you accidentally bought the same title twice, we'll refund the duplicate.
• If a title won't open or display properly and we can't fix it within a reasonable time, we'll refund it.
• For anything else, email us within 14 days of purchase and we'll look at it case by case.

A refunded title is removed from your bookshelf. The full terms are in the SeaWatch Books Digital Reader License Agreement (effective October 1, 2026), which you accept when you first sign in. You can read it again at any time on the license page after signing in.

Why am I asked to accept the license again?

When our terms change, we ask everyone to read and accept the new version once before reading on. The current version took effect on October 1, 2026. Your books, place, highlights and notes are not affected.

Can I print the plan sheets?

Where a title includes printable plans, you'll see a Print plan button on those pages. It downloads a single-page PDF at true scale, marked with your name and email, for your own model-building. You may take it to a print shop. Print at 100% / Actual size (do not choose fit-to-page). Each sheet has a small number of downloads; the button shows how many you have left.

Some titles include plan printing with the e-book; others sell it as a paid add-on. If you own the book but not the plans add-on, you'll see Printable plans available with a link to buy it. Sharing or redistributing plan files is not allowed (see the license, Section 4).
